Founded by snowboard industry veterans, Dan McNamara and Christian Didrichsen, with offices in Laguna Beach, CA, Weekend Snowboards will debut its highly-anticipated introductory 09/10 snowboard line this season. With a strong team consisting of names like Heikki Sorsa and Mark Carter, and ams Martin Campbell, Trevor Rhoda, AJ Ogden and Parker Duke, Weekend’s “Lodge Series” features one all-mountain board in three sizes (153, 155, 157) with intricate hand-drawn graphics by Steve Nazar who is best known for his illustration work in the ’80s with T&C Surf Designs. Made in Austria, only 450 boards are available worldwide this season and each is hand numbered. When the three LTD “Lodge Series” boards are put side-by-side they reveal one gigantic image that is Steve Nazar’s hilariously warped take on a day at the mountain.
